Description
A delightful dessert that combines chia seeds with rich chocolate, this pudding is creamy, nutritious, and incredibly easy to make.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/4 cup chia seeds
- 1 cup almond milk (or any milk of choice)
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a bowl, add the chia seeds, almond milk, cocoa powder, maple syrup or honey, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
- Whisk together all ingredients well until fully combined, ensuring no lumps remain.
- Let the mixture sit for about 5 minutes to allow the chia seeds to absorb some of the liquid.
- After 5 minutes, use the whisk again to stir the mixture to prevent clumping.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Once thickened, stir the pudding and divide it into serving bowls. Enjoy chilled, topped with your favorite fruits or nuts.
Notes
Store any leftover pudding in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Give it a stir before serving if it thickens further.
