Description

A classic dessert featuring tender, sweet apples topped with a crunchy, cinnamon-spiced oat topping. Perfect for gatherings or cozy dinners.


Ingredients

  • 6 cups sliced apples
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and ground cinnamon. Toss until well coated, then pour into a greased baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, mix together the rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, melted butter, and salt until crumbly. Sprinkle this over the apples.
  4. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and apples are tender.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Can also be frozen for longer storage.
